Fabricating a new Rheometer for Concrete

A new concrete rheometer is introduced including its innovation, actual design, working rules,calibration, and reliability. modified design of Tattersall two-point device created. Some ofcomponents are purchased from local foreign markets, while other components themanufacturing process locally fabricated. The matching viscosity method determining the mixerviscometer constants demonstrated followed to relate torque rotational speed yield stressand (Bingham parameters). calibration procedures calculation explained.Water used as a Newtonian fluid, while; cement paste (cement + water) with w/c ratio equal to(0.442) non-Newtonian fluid. tested in “Petroleum Research andDevelopment Center” by “OFITE Model 800 Viscometer”. In order verify reliability newrheometer, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model well selected bank data constructed;and (16) Mixes Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) constructed, mixed newRheometer. results (predicted) those experimental work (measured) werefound have very good degrees correlation matching, which indicates that rheometercan be reliable.
